ICARA 2025 General Assembly

The 2025 ICARA General Assembly will take place in October 2025 online. This year’s theme is “(re)prioritising prevention in policy and practice regarding alcohol, tobacco and other substance use”. We will also consider core governance challenges and opportunities for achieving coordinated action in the development and implementation of comprehensive prevention programmes, including but not limited to, issues in ensuring collaborative working with government departments within and beyond health, addressing tensions across the interactions of health, economic and sustainability agendas, etc. 
 
Elections for a new ICARA board for 2025-27 will also take place. 
 
The event is open to all members and non-members. A programme of events and details of Board opportunities will be released soon.
